  Description:  Choose the word list that you need to drill (eg.  sightwords or word families).  Write them in the blanks as if you were preparing a scavenger hunt.  Number them to help you distribute the cards fairly.  Cut the cards out and give them out to the group. ---STUDENT A:  "I have SUBTLE....who has SOIREE?"  ---STUDENT B:  "I have SOIREE....who has PHLEGM?" etc etc until the group goes around full circle and returns to the first word....

Title: I am a Mathematician

  Description: This project has students create electronic math portfolios. Students will complete a task at the end of each math unit that will document and assess their learning. These 20 tasks will be shared with the other students. Each task will also be saved to a portfolio so that at the end of the year there will be 20 tasks in the portfolio (one for each math topic). The beginning tasks involve taking a photo of the completed task. Later tasks involve taking a photo and recording an explanation of how the task was completed.  (Note: My plans were designed with my first graders in mind.  Teachers of other grade levels can make the tech aspect more complex.)...
